In March of 2020, the agency suspended international operations and underwent an unprecedented global evacuation, pulling volunteers from more than 60 countries around the world as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. With most of the world having returned to some semblance of normalcy, Morgan State alumna Cecilia McGill was among the first Peace Corps volunteers to return to overseas service.
