SUSLA Nursing School Celebrates Fall 2023 Pinning Ceremony

Written by Southern University Shreveport Louisiana The SUSLA School of Nursing held its Pinning Ceremony for students completing the requirements for the Associate of Science in Nursing degree this Fall 2023 semester. Sixteen (16) students were pinned in a ceremony held in the Jackson Building Auditorium on Thursday evening, December 7, 2023. The speaker for the event was Stanley Johnson, RN, BSN – a 2017 SUSLA nursing alumnus and the Charge Nurse on the Electroconvulsive Therapy Unit at Brentwood Hospital. The Pinning Ceremony is a rite of passage for nursing graduates to celebrate their transition from student to professional nurse.
